RESEARCH PARTICIPANTS NEEDED

Individuals with multiple sclerosis who want to lose weight and engage in a healthy lifestyle program

Researchers at UMKC and KUMC are investigating a group-based weight loss and healthy lifestyle program for patients with MS. The study will involve a free 12-month diet/exercise program.

You may qualify for this study if you:

  • Have multiple sclerosis

  • Are over 18 years of age

  • Are overweight

  • Speak English

  • Have phone access

  • Have ability to engage in moderate physical activity

What do you gain?  

The program may help you lose weight & help you live a healthier lifestyle. You will be given a FitBit, FiBit Aria Smart Scale, and access to the LoseIt! phone application for the duration of the study. You will also be compensated $50 for each appointment.
