Clinical neuropsychology is the study of brain/behavior relationships; practitioners in this field typically receive their doctorate in clinical psychology followed by post-doctoral training. That training primarily pertains to the behavioral evaluation and treatment of psychiatric and neurological illnesses.

The Clinical Neuropsychology Laboratory at the University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC) is designed to give qualified graduate and undergraduate students an opportunity to engage in neuropsychological research. Lab members are encouraged to learn the basics of experimental design, participant recruitment, test administration, clinical interviewing, data analysis, and research publication.

Our Research

Members of our Clinical Neuropsychology Laboratory have interests that pertain to health neuropsychology. Currently, we have active research programs in two primary areas: multiple sclerosis and concussion.
